Dear colleagues,

FYI: We now have access to SciFinder Scholar on the web. As you might know, this had previously been available only as a client.

Go to the library’s internal web page: http://internal.providence.edu/library/ for a link to the web version of SciFinder Scholar. It's under the left column under Downloads/Plugins. The link leads to the SciFinder Scholar registration page. You need to register and get a login and password in order to use the web version.

You must be on campus to access the internal web page.

After you register using the registration page and get your login and password, you will be able to access the web version of SciFinder Scholar from anywhere.

We will have both the client version and the web version through March of 2009, at which time, the client version will no longer be available.

The new web version includes:

· Powerful refine capability that allows you to "Categorize" your answer set
· Combine options now with multiple answer sets
· Refine by atom attachment
· New Keep Me Posted features…and much more, including content enhancements
