On Saturday, February 28th, Providence College will be holding its annual Randall Chair Conference in Aquinas Lounge from 10:00 to 4:00.
This year’s theme is "After Exodus: Exile, Flight, and the Promised Land in the American Literary Tradition".
Robert Kiely, this year’s Randall Chair in Christian Culture, will speak on the theme of exodus in the writings of Zora Neale Hurston and Martin Luther King,Jr. In addition, there will be presentations on John LaFarge, S.J., an early Catholic champion of Civil Rights, and Jack Kerouac’s rocky relationship with Roman Catholicism.
All are welcome to one or all three of the talks. Just show up.
