[PC-12] Happy Best Buddies Day!!!!

To All Members of the PC Community:

Happy Best Buddies Day! As a result of efforts from the Providence College chapter of Best Buddies, the Mayor of Providence, RI has declared Thursday, March 5, 2009 Best Buddies Day!

Best Buddies is an international, non-profit organization that works to "enhance the lives of people with intellectual disabilities by providing opportunities for one-to-one friendships and integrated employment."

At Providence College, the Best Buddies chapter has formed 15 one-to-one friendships between PC students and members of the Providence, RI community, as well as having 15 additional PC students involved with the organization.

In addition to being Best Buddies Day, on Thursday, you can eat at Uno’s at the Providence Place Mall and 20% of your check will help benefit Best Buddies Rhode Island by presenting a Best Buddies Uno’s coupon. On this day, let’s celebrate our friendships and realize the importance and responsibility of being a friend!
