NEIGHBORHOOD SHUTTLE SERVICE
PC's Neighborhood Shuttle provides FREE transportation to PC students from 6pm to 1am, Sunday-Thursday. On Friday and Saturday nights, the shuttle runs from 6pm to 2:30am. From 6-7pm the shuttle travels to Shaws (Sunday-Thursday) and Wal-Mart (Friday-Saturday). It then spends the rest of the evening looping through campus and off-campus housing areas. The shuttle departs from the rear of Raymond Hall at the top of the hour and on the half hour. It completes the route approximately every 20 minutes. Please don't walk unaccompanied at night, ride the shuttle! Please note: We request that students pick up the shuttle along its route. For more info, call x2940.
THE EAST SIDE SHUTTLE
Looking to get off campus and explore the great city you live in?? Ever wonder what else there is to do downtown? Hop on the East Side Shuttle and discover Providence this weekend! The Shuttle will make stops on Thayer St., Wickenden St., North and South Main St., and Federal Hill. Enjoy the many shops, restaurants and attractions Providence has to offer! The Shuttle will run on Friday and Saturday Nights. It will depart from the rear of Raymond Hall at the top of each hour between 6 and 11pm. Making it back to campus on the shuttle is the student's responsibility - please make plans accordingly.

French Film Festival: "A la folie...pas du tout", 7-9:30pm, Moore Hall III
Four days of great French movies & dialogue afterwards. Come enjoy a foreign film, an ambient night, and a discussion with various professors on the film topic of the evening. A professor from the Providence College Modern Language Department will be speaking before and after the movie to describe the film, the setting, the technical and cinematographic aspects of the film. A question and answer session will follow. The movie "A la folie... pas du tout " uses restricted editing to show first the viewpoint of a young student, Angelique, who is in love with a cardiologist, Loic. Then the narrative resets to the beginning showing the viewpoint of Loic relative to the same sequence of events. In the end the two versions converge with surprising consequences. French Film Festival: "Ma vie en rose", 7-9:30pm, Moore Hall III
The movie "Ma vie en rose" is a most sensitively handled film about the difficulties facing a child with gender identity issues and the way the parents handle the situation. Ludovic is 7 years old and is convinced that he should have been born a girl. The parents naturally have difficulty in dealing with this and eventually send him to a psychologist with the intention of "curing" him, but of course there is no cure - only understanding. The movie "La Cage aux Folle" is about two gay men living in St. Tropez who have their lives turned upside down when the son of one of the men announces he is getting married. They try to conceal their lifestyle and their ownership of the transvestite club downstairs when the fianc‚e and her parents come for dinner. This movie "Birdcage" was based off this film. City Year Volunteer Opportunity
The nonprofit organization City Year, is looking for team leaders to lead their youth in community service, activities and discussions for three Saturday's a month from January through May and for an overnight retreat in mid-December. This opportunity is with their Young Heroes Program which is a leadership development and service learning program for middle school youth in Providence and Kent County. City Year was founded upon the belief that young people can change the world. City Year is a nonprofit organization that unites young people of all backgrounds for a demanding year of full-time service. As tutors, mentors, and role models, these idealistic leaders make a difference in the lives of children, and transform schools and neighborhoods across the US and in South Africa. Volunteers are needed on a weekly basis Monday-Friday from 3-6pm. Volunteers would need to commit to one day a week for three hours for at least the semester, if not the entire school year. Volunteers would facilitate and assist with activities for youth in the Chad Brown area.

Sign-ups are now available in the Campus Ministry Center for the Encounter Retreat held from March 27th-29th! The Encounter Retreat is held off-campus and is a wonderful opportunity to relax, reflect, and enjoy the company of others. A twenty-five dollar refundable deposit is required.
