[PC-12] Looking to get involved? Apply to serve on a Committee!

From: Student Congress <stucongr@providence.edu>
Date: Wed Sep 30 2009 - 04:25:01 EDT

Are you looking for a way to get involved on campus? Apply to serve on a standing or VPAA committee!

These committees typically meet on a monthly basis and allow students the opportunity to provide feedback on important issues on campus.

Last spring, Student Congress passed legislation requiring a short application and interview process for all committee openings. We want to ensure that every student has an equal chance to become involved and make their voices heard!

The following committees have openings:

Academic Integrity Board (5 student members, 5 alternates)
Honorary Degree Committee (2 students - seniors only)
Calendar Committee (1 student)
Instructional Technology Committee (1 student - sophomore or junior)
Teaching Award Selection Committee (1 student)
Student Affairs Committee (1 student)

Applications can be downloaded at:
http://www.providence.edu/Student+Life/Student+Activities/Student+Congress/
Please fill it out and email it to apulaski@friars.providence.edu

Applications will be due this Friday 10/2 by 4pm

The Executive Board of the 60th Student Congress will review all submitted applications and contact promising candidates next Monday 10/5, and Tuesday 10/6 for a short interview.

We look forward to hearing from you! And as always, if you have any questions please contact members of 60th Student Congress Executive Board:
