At the end of the summer, IT launched PC Self Help, a wiki for documentation, “how to’s”, frequently asked questions, and various other information related to working and living at Providence College.
PC Self Help can be accessed by visiting http://selfhelp.providence.edu.
A wiki is a website that is editable by anyone with an account, similar to Wikipedia.
To help spread the word and increase the content, IT will be holding an information and working session to help "Grow the Wiki". All students are invited to attend this session, though there is a limited capacity, due to room space.
When: Wednesday, October 29, 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm
Where: Albertus Magnus 137
Food and beverage will be provided to all in attendance. As this room is not a computer lab, we ask that you bring your personal laptops. The desks have wired network ports and electrical outlets at each seat, and there is wireless available throughout the room. IT will have a few laptops on hand for those who do not have their own.
Please RSVP with Jim Rizzo at jrizzo@providence.edu no later than Wednesday, October 22. When responding, please include your name and whether or not you’ll need to borrow a laptop.
