One-Day Community Service Opportunity! --- "Make a Difference Day"
When: Saturday, October 25th
Time: Program starts at 10 a.m. – Service starts at 10:30 a.m. and ends around 2 p.m.
Where: Warwick Police Headquarters on 99 Veterans Memorial Drive in WarwickTransportation: By carpool, so if you have a car or a van let me know how many people you can bring.
What kind of things will I be able to do?
West Bay Community Action - We will be working at a farm that needs seasonal maintenance,
The Elizabeth Buffum Chace Center – We will be doing basic clean up to the facilities,
Salvation Army – We will sort through clothes at their thrift stores at three different locations in Warwick,
The Artist Exchange – We will help set up a Haunted Labyrinth as well as basic maintenance,
The Greenwood Community Church – We will help clean their church (clean up day), Jaycees – We will provide basic landscaping of their garden.
Lunch will be provided and vegetarian options will be available.
Registration forms (you must pre-register) are available at the Balfour Center (Harkins 310) from Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. until Wednesday October 22. Service sites opportunities are first-come, first-served so if you have a favorite one register soon!
