NEIGHBORHOOD SHUTTLE SERVICE
PC's Neighborhood Shuttle provides FREE transportation to PC students from 6pm to 1am, Sunday-Thursday. On Friday and Saturday nights, the shuttle runs from 6pm to 2:30am. From 6-7pm the shuttle travels to Shaws (Sunday-Thursday) and Wal-Mart (Friday-Saturday). It then spends the rest of the evening looping through campus and off-campus housing areas. The shuttle departs from the rear of Raymond Hall at the top of the hour and on the half hour. It completes the route approximately every 20 minutes. Please don't walk unaccompanied at night, ride the shuttle! Please note: We request that students pick up the shuttle along its route. For more info, call x2940.

THE EAST SIDE SHUTTLE
Looking to get off campus and explore the great city you live in?? Ever wonder what else there is to do downtown? Hop on the East Side Shuttle and discover Providence this weekend! The Shuttle will make stops on Thayer St., Wickenden St., North and South Main St., and Federal Hill. Enjoy the many shops, restaurants and attractions Providence has to offer! The Shuttle will run on Friday and Saturday Nights. It will depart from the rear of Raymond Hall at the top of each hour between 6 and 11pm. Making it back to campus on the shuttle is the student's responsibility - please make plans accordingly.

SATURDAY SHOPPING SHUTTLE TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED
The Saturday Shopping Shuttle will be temporarily suspended due to lack of participation, but please stay tuned for more information from the SAIL Office about a monthly Shopping Shuttle.

You will learn about resources to use to help define your interests, tips for exploring your options, and strategies for developing a career plan! In addition, you will receive information on how to make the most out of attending the Major/Minor fair! Sponsored by the Office of Career Services.

Election 2008 Student Debate, 6:30pm, McPhail's
Join us to see PC seniors Ryan Holt, Nick Hemond, John Ryan Cummings, and Andrew Miner debate the issues in a mock presidential debate. The debate will include a wide range of issues being discussed on the national stage. If you have a question you would like to hear addressed in the debate, email it to rwalsh9@providence.edu and we'll try to include as many student questions as possible. This event is sponsored by Pi Sigma Alpha, PC Democrats, The Debate Team, and Student Congress.

Domestic Violence Awareness Vigil, 7:30-9pm, Feinstein 400
Come hear Tori Heaton, a former Cranston police officer and Miss Rhode Island, speak about her experience with domestic violence while married to a fellow police officer. Her story grabbed national attention when featured on the CBS program 48 Hours. The vigil will also incorporate music and poetry performed by PC students. Sponsored by Women Will and the Department of Sociology.

Witness for Peace speaker Gloria Alba Andino Lopez from El Regadio, Esteli, Nicaragua is stopping at PC as part of a regional tour! Having spent much of her life active in the effort to preserve human rights in Latin America, she will speak about social, economic, and human rights conditions in the region. COMMUNITY SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES:

Volunteers Needed
The Institute for the Study and Practice of Nonviolence is looking for volunteers to help with a mass mailing (about 1000 envelopes to be stuffed) for. The mailing will assembled on Thursday, October 30, from 2:30 through the evening and on Friday, October 31, from noon on. It will take place either on campus or at the organizer's house (off Smith Street in Elmhurst Arboretum). For more information, contact Nondas Voll at 401-751-5982.This service is an opportunity to help the Institute for the Study and Practice of Nonviolence, an organization that does intervention and prevention work, but is best known for its gang intervention program, and also meet and talk with Nondas Voll, who is the board chair of the Institute, and past (founding) executive director of Rhode Island's Fund for Community Progress, the "grassroots alternative to the United Way."

Volunteers are needed on a weekly basis Monday-Friday from 3-6pm. Volunteers would need to commit to one day a week for three hours for at least the semester, if not the entire school year. Volunteers would facilitate and assist with activities for youth in the Chad Brown area.

Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation RI Rhode Island
The Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation was established in 2004 in memory of our Gloria Gemma and in honor of her courageous fight against breast cancer. Their mission is to raise breast cancer awareness, increase breast health education, and generate funding for critical breast health programs that are in desperate need of being brought to fruition. Their promise is that 100% of the net proceeds will remain right here in our local community. The Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation needs volunteers for fundraising events, in many capacities. The foundation also needs volunteers to continue to operate at the lowest cost possible so that more funding can go towards finding a cure for breast cancer. Below is the website for the foundation. "PC NOW" HAS LAUNCHED
Are YOU in the know? The Division of College Relations and Planning has launched PC Now, a new, "one-stop" news Web page. PC Now will be updated weekly every Monday and more frequently as breaking news happens. PC Now will present timely news relating to developments, events, and people at the College; alumni and student news and features; profiles on students, faculty, and alumni; selected athletics and campus event listings; and links to other online sources with PC-related information. Back by popular demand! Looking for a fun and dynamic way to exercise? Join the aqua-fitness class. Deep water gym workouts are designed to work multiple muscle groups of the upper and lower body, which can result in greater cardiovascular output and excellent toning. Buoyancy belts and instruction provided. Monday, Wednesday and Fridays 11:30AM at the Taylor Natatorium Pool. Space is limited.
