RE: PAID volunteers needed for research participation

Interested in a fun and interesting way to make a little extra cash? Read this to learn more about participating in Psychology Department research:

* Each year students and faculty in the Psychology Department conduct research to investigate various aspects of human behavior.

* We are interested in student volunteers from all majors (and undeclared), we have flexible scheduling, and studies are conducted on-campus, typically in the Sowa/Albertus Magnus complex. Students who have participated in Departmental research in the past have found it to be an interesting, enjoyable educational experience.

* Faculty members do not keep track of individual responses, and responding to this email (or not responding) will not affect your grades in any course. Any information you provide, either by responding to this email or participating in research, is strictly confidential and will not be shared or used for any other purpose. Remember that your participation is entirely voluntary. If you have any questions about this program, please do not hesitate to call the Psychology Department and ask for Dr. O'Keeffe (865-2435 or 865-2619).

* The studies generally require less than one hour of participation. In most cases, participants are paid $5.00 for a study that lasts ½ hour or less (pay rate is $10.00 per hour). These details will vary from study to study, and will be explained to you if you are contacted. If you begin a study, and decide that you do not want to finish it, you can withdraw at any time and you will still be paid for your time.

* If you would like to be considered for research participation, please go to http://providence.sona-systems.com/

* Under New Participant? (bottom left of screen), go to Request an account here. This will take you to a sign-up screen. Be sure to include your pc email address as your User ID. When studies begin, you will receive an email inviting you to participate. If you would like to be considered for participation but do not want to register on-line, send an email to mokeeffe@providence.edu and I’ll put you in the system.

* Thanks for your consideration!
