What Were You Thinking? How Can We Count Latinos (and Everyone Else) Every 10 Years? Dr. John Garcia
The challenge of conducting the 2010 Census serves as an excellent context from which to examine the political dynamics of agenda setting and framing, policy implementation, political influence, and identity politics for the Latino community and the nation at-large. Dr. Garcia will speak to these important questions in his provocative and interactive talk. An expert in Minority and Latino Politics, he is currently Visiting Research Professor at the Inter-University Consortium for Political and Social Research at the University of Michigan.
