Paul Rich of Deepwater Wind and Jon Duffy of Duffy & Shanley emphasized the human aspects of the business culture during a meeting of PC’s Master of Business Administration (MBA) Program’s Leaders on Leadership course.
 
• Grants Support Faculty Research on U.S. Poets, HIV/AIDS, More
Eighteen faculty members from 12 academic disciplines received $82,500 in grants from PC’s Committee on Aid to Faculty Research to conduct research throughout the academic year.

• PC Finds Value in Hosting Anti-Terrorism Conference
The leaders of the College’s emergency management operations said a recent campus conference on anti-terrorism measures validated PC’s efforts to ensure a safe campus environment.

• Dr. Michael Hayes Elected Faculty Senate President
Dr. Michael L. Hayes, assistant professor of social work and of public and community service studies, recently was elected president of the Providence College Faculty Senate for the 2009-10 academic year.

• PC Marketing Students Complete Prestigious Internships
The Boston Celtics, CBS Sports, and Madison Square Garden were just a few of the prominent organizations at which Providence College marketing students held internships this summer.
